Doing Good in Crazy Times

We had a great 6th CD convention in Oshkosh on Sunday. Eighteen of the 80 delegates came from our county. Thank you. Thank you to Deb Anderson, who not only serves as our DPOC Secretary, but also as the Secretary of the 6th CD. Thank you to DPOC member Ari Glasstein for helping us set up the media. We heard from a long list of candidates from the Governor’s race to State and Assembly candidates. We have a great and competent group of men and women running for these offices. We are forwarding three resolutions from the 6th CD to the State Convention. Elaine Vokoun, who is a DPOC member and also serves on the State Platform and Resolutions Committee, led us through the debate and passage.

Well, the Trump Regime never ceases to disappoint. His new $1.776 billion dollar Trump’s Treason Treasure Chest slush fund to pay off himself and others who see themselves as victims of being held accountable for participating in the Jan. 6 insurrection is close to the top of the grifting list. Fortunately, there are some very serious legal hurdles for this Treason Treasure Chest, being brought forward by parties from both sides of the aisle. Let’s keep an eye on this.

Great job in hustling signatures all over the county for our Assembly, Congressional, and Statewide Candidates. Wendy Freitag, who manages our office, was a constant force in managing that task. Please watch your emails for some fun events the Membership, Candidate Support and Fundraising committees are planning. Make certain you sign up to walk in our parades and help out at the Fair.

Lastly, I know that living in these very crazy and dangerous times can be exhausting, because we all juggle wanting to believe things will get better with some other new unbelievable newsfeed on our phones. Take some time to laugh and enjoy each other. Take care of yourselves. We will need your energy to defeat this evil regime in November.

Thanks.
