Ozaukee Democrats - Make a Difference By Showing Up
Let the parade season begin — and make a difference by showing up!!!! We start out this Saturday, with Fun Before the Fourth in Thiensville. Following that, it’s the July 4th parade in Cedarburg, and finally the Fish Days Parade in Port Washington on July 18th. Sign up for one, sign up for them all. Trust me … you will have fun.
It is important that we show up.
In 2024, after escorting Senator Baldwin around the Fish Days events on the Upper Bluff Park, I was walking down the hill back to my car. I was stopped by another event-goer and asked why the Ozaukee Democrats were not in the parade. I told her that we were informed that there were to be no political groups in the parade. She then said, “Not true, the Republican Party of Ozaukee County was in the parade.” Our DPOC Secretary, Deb Anderson, serves on the Fish Days committee. She got right on that, so now we will be walking this year.
Our visibility matters, our community contributions matter, our candidates matter. Because of your generous contributions we were able to give checks to all of the Assembly candidates to help them win in November.
As a reminder, that would be Dana Glasstein in AD 22, Deb Andraca in AD 23, and Jack Holzman in AD 59.
DPOC gave our quarterly Community Outreach Award to Alex Fritz at our meeting last week. She was there representing PW Pride. She was very grateful. We do not financially support candidates in contested Democratic primaries.
I will keep my message brief this week. I look forward to seeing you in Thiensville on Saturday.
Thanks for reading and showing up. We are making a difference when we show up and make Ozaukee County aware of the groundswell of support for Democratic ideals.
